CAMaster makes big hit at IWF. We built and brought the Cobra 508 X3 to the show and there was a crowd around it the entire time. We had a good time showing off the new cnc to the folks. With a big help from the CAMheads we made the most of it. The X3 (tha Cabinet Cruncher) was cutting a nested sheet of cabinet parts complete with dados, line boring, concealed hinge boring and more. the X3 was flying through the G-code effortlessly. There is a new way to machine your cabinet parts affectively without shelling out the money for a tool changer. Also the X3 with its triple head can do a tool change in less than 4 sec. (try that with a ATC) you may say that all the side mounted heads can do is to drill holes. But not on the X3 the heads are actual 2.25 hp variable speed routers, and can do dados, line boring, V-carving, MDF Doors, you name it. As you can tell I am excited about this Machine. Here is the reason. I worked in a cabinet shop who took the way of BIG IRON we were sold on the idea that it took a CNC that big to do what we were doing on a panel saw. It was a night mare it took six months to cut a useable cabinets. The X3 cuts down the cost, instillation, learning curve. It would have been great to have one back then.

I use my 2.25 HP Hitachi that Bill added to my machine to machine the flutes on fluted boards. That allows my main spindle to still cut out the profiles. I trick Cabinet Pro into creating the g-code and then make a few minor modifications to the file. It's soooooooo easy and just like my 5hp Colombo, it sails right through it ! I can only imagine having THREE, count them, THREE heads!

Speaking of the IWF, I just received my first email from one of the Booths that I went to... CAMaster

Shouldn't I get royalties off the picture of my Stinger that went out to everyone :D

Nice to see someone is following up on customers
