I have no idea how to play either. I thought it was pretty much a dead game, is it making a come back or something?
I've seen more cribbage boards in the last 3 months than I have my entire life.

Guy; thanks for the kind word, I have a while before I get anywhere near your level of craftsmanship.
That board was really about learning Aspire; and how what looks good on screen translates to the wood.
As you can see in the picture I need to work on spacing.

I have done 3 Cribbage boards in all.
2 in wood 1 in Corian all different.
My Wife and I have begun a once a month dinner night with our minister and his wife; and they play cribbage.
He is a fisherman so that should explain the choice of content.
My latest endeavor has been wall clocks.
In fact I brought my prototype with me while shopping at the hardwood store, they always ask me to show them what I have been doing with their wood; And I sold two clocks to one of the owners.
Plus he tossed in some free padouk.
I could not help my self while shopping; I splurged on some zebra wood; just a small piece 13 x 15.
I want to find a 3d file of a zebra and make a clock out of it.
The bulk of my money went to jotoba.
Today I did a small deer clock face out of some of that free padouk and finished it with tung-oil and the rich red of the wood was amazing. this may be my new favorite. although I would kill to get my hands on some ZEGOTA

It's a fun game, but for what's it's worth. Some of us are more interested in colelcting the boards than playing the game. i.e. I currently have over 80 boards in my collection and only get to play the game around the holidays.
Here'a a little article at squidoo on board collecting - http://www.squidoo.com/cribbage-board-collecting-and-types-of-collections
