The machine is great :D but it is the software to do the code that I am saving for. I have a new Mini Cobra but I can't do signs like that!;)

Thanks Jim J.
I have been cutting a lot of stuff. I have software for doing general 2.5 d stuff just not the fancy v carving and 4th axis. I have been looking at V carve pro and have my sights on a copy hopefully before too long. I have been enjoying the speed and accuracy of the Mini Cobra. My home made machine would rapid at 50ipm and I am cutting at 100ipm now. WOW what a difference.
The Mini Cobra really fits the bill for a guy like me with limited space. I have a fairly large shop but it is filled with woodworking tools and the MC fits right in.

The Mini Cobra may be a mini and a little smaller but it won't take a back seat to anything on the market. It is a heavy, solid built workhorse of a machine. I had been looking at a couple of other machines in the 25 x 40 range and nothing I found comes close to the Mini Cobra. I don't have a business to run so I just make sawdust and have a good time in the shop. The Mini Cobra is the cat's meow!!!

Good Morning Angus,
I didn't buy any software with the machine. The only thing I bought was the mechanical assembly. I have software to do the things I normally do. 2.5d parts and signs. I don't have the software to do the fancy v carve type stuff with the vee bit. I am saving for that. The machine is working like a charm. I couldn't be more pleased.

russ and all, the first week of january 2007 bill and joey came through here on thier way to wilmington to deliver georges machine, they spent the entire day at my shop retrofiting the machine to wincnc, bill basically charged me the retail rate for the software and installed it for lunch, the next day we all went and powwowed at keith's shop in camden.
within a few days the sign shop next door came over and needed an apartment complex sign job done quick, up to that point i was basically cuttin cabinets with the machine, bill wrote the entire file for those signs for me and with that income i in return ordered another machine that eventually became the X3 we have all grown in this time. goodwill and calm approaches have made strides both within my business, camaster and this forum that wer possible as a result of the relationships that were forged in those meetings.
you go find a job or any thing else that will produce income or goodwill for you and your machine and i will show you a dozen or more people who will write files for you!!!

Here is the competition for my affection and wallet. It is a 2000 Corbin Sparrow electric car. I have a set of lithium batteries coming this month. They cost more than the Mini Cobra. I will be able to use the Sparrow for just about all my normal driving with the new batteries. The truck will stay parked unless I have to haul something or someone.
Jim, I do appreciate the offer and will pursue getting my skill level to the point that I could make signs and stuff at a profit. I normally don't make anything for sale. My MC3050-R is starting to change my mind though.
