I just ran a file and had to about at the end because a small part came up and broke my endmill so I hit the space bar. I pulled that sheet offf and reset my postions and loaded another file to cut similar to the first and when I hit the GO button it stays paused on a line that says
M18C7 [Wait for spindle on/check power
Any ideas? Loose wire maybe??
going to look in the black box now.
Thanks,
Nic

Nic have you tried restarting the computer or at least wincnc? I am not that familiar with wincnc but restarting will resolve a lot of ills.

Nic,
It's waiting for an input to go off and it has to do with the spindle coming on. Not sure how it's wired.
Is your spindle coming on? If not, that's where the problem is.

Thanks guys,
I killed the breaker to the cnc and opened the box to see if any thing was loose. Blew the dust out turned it back on and it fired right back up.
??????????
Thanks,
Nic

Nick it was a overload on the VCD. Shutting the power down and back on fixed the problem. On the VFD there is a reset button that would also do it. This will protect with over heating and power spikes. You may have had a spike just as the bit broke.
Glad you are up and going.
