View Full Version : I see the light
One more add to my carving room.
Regular flourecent lights and even lowe's selection of commercial lighting
left me squinting trying to see what I was doing.
I found these 6 bulb T8 hi-bay fixtures on ebay for $100 with all the bulbs.
I ain't squinting in the dark no more...I am squinting in the light. :D
Just one fixture lights up where i needed it the most. These things are designed to be mounted 12-15 off the ground...but they work great as a spotlight. Comes with the 6500k daylight bulbs in em.

I just love to make you happy!
Dan can you tell me about the brush on the new dust hood or the place where you found it to order it. I would love to find out where those brushes came from.
Thanks

joey i use 1/2" clear plexi and the brushes come from mcmaster carr.

i have been working on a new one to machine in aluminum that will bolt the plexi to the pvc pipe clamp then it will clamp around the dust pipe to the hose, it will be easier to remove than the current setup as now i have to unbolt the entire appratus

Thats great Jim let me know how it goes
Joey,
Here are some better pics. I found a free moment when boss wasn't looking
and banged out the adapter to take the 4 inch hose to a 2 inch for my shop vac.
No comments on quality....was done on a manual lathe and I was rushed!
Various pics of how it mounts and fits...then with the shop vac hooked on.
Accessories...!!!
I can always pull the adapter and get right back up to 4 inch when I make the big bucks :)
and make enough to buy a real Vac system. Till then I will keep making what I can...
Enjoy
