Today I set up a ventrilo server for the camheads.
Let me explain what ventrilo is and how to use it, for those of you that are unfamiliar with the ventrilo program.
Ventrilo is a proprietary Voice over Internet Protocol program with clients for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Most users of Ventrilo use a headset or microphone and use the program to talk to each other, similar to a telephone conference call.

The short explanation is you can have crystal clear conversations across the globe with several people at once or as few as two people.

The server I set up will allow up to 15 people at once
It is free for you to use
The program is easy to download and is free as well
You can get it here http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
Down load from the client list as you will not be hosting a server and will not need the extra files in your computer.
It is simple to set up but if you have problems you can call me at 317-353-4905 and I will walk you through the set up processes.
the information you will need to log in is as follows
Host: chromium.typefrag.com
Port: 53937
Password: camaster
You will need a head phones and a microphone to use the program, it is best to get a headset with both, as this will allow you to have your hands free.
I hope to meet as many camheads there as I can. I will try to be on evenings between 8 to 9 Eastern Time.
But I may be on at other times as well. I use this system to talk to people all over the world, feel free to share the server information with friends or loved ones and use it to stay in touch. It would be great to talk to friends or family in the service overseas.

i am right here kieth !! it's ok! friday a week ago they came to work on the roof of the old shop, roofer cut the power lines and damn near killed someone so we packed the trucks loaded the equipment and MOVED!!!

we are now at 3527 north main (across from the old mann tool location!)

James if you are referring to the site with the dxf files, I have that bookmarked already, but thanks for thinking of me.

Currently I am seriously thinking of having a service create a 3d file of a oval race track, stands and all. Possibly one similar to the Indy speedway without any copy righted markings, then cutting it into a top of a end table with a glass cover.
Here in Indy racing is a big deal, and I think I have a chance to market something like this.

"buddy" our local artcam guru (who now loves aspire) is teaching me and others aspire has done the topograpical displays for the sc state park system. they are really impressive. he also did a truley remarkable harley fat boy out of wood, i'll get you some pic's, your idea sound's like a good one!
