http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=101605 [spam]
I usually dont drag things around the net but I have been watching this since last evening, now he has a new thread bashing CmaMaster & Heads.
If ya'll don't want this thread here please feel free to delete it.
But this guy has just rubbed me really wrong and it's taking all the self control I have not to just blast the shit out of him on the Creek. And I dont even own a CamMaster I went with the Blue guys. But WOW, I mean you yellow people have been nothing but cordial and helpful and well if the Blue and yellow people stick together we can all make some green......LOL
Thanks for letting me vent.

Thanks, We feel great when our customers and noncustomers in your case come forth the way you did. We also feel that if we do our jobs then our customers will take care of all the [spam] . It is hard for me to keep my cool when things are said but we all have to bite our lips a time or two. We (CAMaster) have nothing bad to say about the Blue people or there machine. I give the facts and if you go yellow or blue its up to you. The truth is that if it were not for Blue the small CNC world we all love would not be here.
We would live in a world ran by the big Iron. I for one refuse to belive it takes 100K plus to cut out a cabinet and we (CAMaster as well as others) prove the big boys wrong everyday. I have found that CNC owners are a great group of people when we have a problem we cross lines to help out. I will talk to someone that bought a blue machine the same way as one of my own. that is what i hope we will be known for. and i dont know of any person or company that would like to deal with a ;moon just to make a buck. I just want to be dealt with the same way you do, no more no less.
So again thanks, And keep on posting here we love to have you. We all learn together.

Anytime Joey, And your right because as soon as you sell him a machine he will become even more of an ;moon;moon;moon

Ok so I don't really get it....I could have 3 Z's on my machine if I needed it ??
james mcgrew

not on a shop bot in the same way, it is in the macros and settings of the machine, muti head technology has been around a while, shopbot has extra drill and z heads
shop bot has grown from a barn using the small hobbiest up approach and CAMaster has grown from a barn using the big iron industrial down approach!!

CAMaster has really hit a home run with this machine, there is a four head in development with two z's this will allow for duplication work and multi drilling at the same time, this is a real big deal for us in the cabinet world, my intent is to finance them to build me a machine with a dovetailer as well!!
other machine companies will soon duplicate this but bill got it right!!! and should be considered a leader in this, most of these companies will have problems with the settings and such, josh is light years ahead of them on this!!

Ok that makes since now. And yea the SB arrangement is strange with 2 z's on the front and the air drill on the back of the Z. Not being a cabinet builder it's all a little confusing still.
Now a dovetailer will be awesome that I could use. Right now I'm stuck with weird jigs off the end of the table to do box joints. More trouble than its worth at the moment.

just a note on internet and forum behavior, after what some of us saw on another forum, it would be wise to remind ourselves that there is a faceless nature to this and arguing with an irate person is normal (not neccessarily healthy) but when we get personal and cuss or get inflamatory most forums will kick you off!! and it is not easy to get back on!! the real problem is lurkers who will bait you into fighting with them in order to get you kicked off.
so remember, sometimes some people just need
"a good lettin alone"
in our world i like to think that
"people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind!!"

YEP thats right...I just sat here and bit my tounge all day and let the MODS handle it....
I really dont let the internet thing bother me much....But when it gets as stupid as this guy did. It's really hard not to call a spade a spade.
So I wonder if I should warn SB that he's going to give them a hard time next. And expect them to give him the everything but the Baby Jesus for nothing. But I'm sure they as everybody is...Well aware he's an idiot.
Ok enough on this guy time to move forward with all the fun positive stuff we can get done today.

I hope nobody here thinks ill of me for my part in that dabacle. I did my best to remain civil and adult in my postings with him. You should have seen some of the PMs he sent me. I did get several positive PMs on that forum from other members. I'm done with it too. -1 here today....too cold to even heat the shop. I hope to post a few pics of new stuff next week if it warms up. Darren

Jim, et al,
I just registered at Sawmillcreek but still can not view the link that was posted at the beginning of this thread.
Having ran a Shopbot for 3 years with a small 4th axis.. that I am still running... but a lot less since I got my big, yellow, industrial, steel, super-strong, heavyweight CAMaster with an 8 foot 4th axis Recoil Mill and auto tool changer... (take a breath) (insert gloat here):D I have found my little blue, lightweight, angle-iron and I-beam, stepper motor driven 10hp Colombo spindle with manual bit changing capabilites and tempermental Z height setting... well, it just doesn't quite move me anymore. Don't get me wrong, it is a good machine, but my CAMaster... (actually, my boss paid for it), but it's mine because I am the only that knows how to run it.
...my CAMaster, (insert Homer Simpson drooling noises here) and a ([fantastic]) here... well you get the picture.
Anyway, if I ever get to view the thread and find out who this fella is, perhaps I can inform him or her of what a good programmer can do.
When push comes to shove, a CNC Machine is like a camera. You can have the best one in the world, but if you do not know how to use it, your pictures will look like fecal matter!
Both machines can produce some amazing work, if the person "telling" the machine what to do has the knowledge, patience, creativity and the juevos, to try something new and exciting.
As woodworkers using CNC, we are changing the woodworking industry. End users, will always find new ways to utilize the tools in their shops. Ways the manufactures never thought of. (Tom Pinsky comes to mind when he embraced Corian and made his fortune as well as one hell of a company devoted to the fabrication of solid surface materials.)
You are correct Jim, we are all in this together.
Gustav Stickley... eat your heart out!
