Using Nodes

Well I finally got the fir tree put into the program and used nodes to define and stretch the trunk like Michael shoed on the drawings. Then I tried like crazy to close the bottom of the trunk with node editing, however all I could do was change the shape of the trunk. Is there a secret here??

Depending on how much of a gap there is you could use the close vector command to close the shape. You can change the gap size setting to make it larger. If the shape changes then use node edit to reshape.
