Default plastic thermoform
buddy e who works with us modeled a plug for a fellow who had it thermoformed in plastic, absolutly excellent results

Nice Jim, what material did you use for the mold and what did you have to do after to prepare it for thermo?

the mold/plug was mdf, i will ask david in the am but i believe it was done as such

Default Thermoformed ABS
Jim,

Nice talking to you a few nights ago. Hows this for thermoformed parts.... We did all the cad modeling , machining and thermoforming in house. I have since painted him the correct gray color. He's about 3' 6" tall.

Default thermoforming
Yeah, I'm a little into the scifi thing. He looks cool next to the half scale B9 robot from Lost in Space. I actually do quite a bit of thermoforming, including a 2ft diameter Jupiter 2 ship from the same show.
