Default Dust boot helper

When cutting on the Camaster there is a area where the dust boot/vaccume does not collect chips very well because the boot goes off the tabel. So being the lazy guy that I am, and not wanting to sweep any more than I have to. I made this little part to help keep the chips going up the vaccume. If i am doing a thicker piece of ply, i just pop off the two small clamps and move it up or down.

Very nice, it's been on my mind to do something like that.
Thanks.

Good idea.

I've been thinking about a new boot solution myself. I have two problems, the first is exactly what you've stated in that close to X0 the vacuum is hanging off the table, and the other is my routers seem to end up pushing on the boot too often. I noticed that Jim's boot has the top recessed, so that's probably one modification I'll end up making.

I keep breaking the vinyl fingers on my boot, so I need an alternative. Jim, what do you want to sell me?

I need to control these metal chips!!!! They have gone crazy.

Funny this shoud be brought up. I just finished make a new shoe. I made it with 2 pieces of Lexan, much stronger than plexi and flexable. Same fringe but I made a new connector to attache to the original vertical exhaust pipe.
It is now really close to the surface and I can really cut deep. I use 1/16" bit to cut 1.5" deep.

Yup and I've managed to rip a few off here and there. That surely doesn't help much!
