  • 5 Axis Cobra

I see in a Cobra picture that there is a tilting /swiveling spindle (so 3+2?) option for the Cobra, but I cant seem to find any information beyond that. Does anyone know the details or could point me to more options?

I've seen a Cobra with an aggregate head and a C-axis to swivel it. Not really 5 axis, but very useful if you need to machine the sides of a workpiece (drill holes, mortises, etc into the side of your piece).

Hi RCraw.. Yeah, thats what I'm talking about. From my understanding, there are several types of "5 axis" and the 3+2 is not a true 5 axis, it still provides additional capabilities.

I really placed this in the wrong forum. If a moderator sees this, can it be moved to the parent forum?

"Cobra CNC Routers" as this is not a specific ATC question. In any event, I got my answer. The 3+2 configuration is available for the Cobra, but it puts the machine well into 6 figures (as expected honestly).
