Updated. We created a new version that is easily removeable. There is minimal lost suction where the base meets the coupler. I think this one is a keeper!
Thanks. My son is becoming interested in making these on the side once we get the design nailed down. And luckily, HSD publishes the detailed dimensions of their spindles so we could make other sizes..

I'd bee interested in the file - thanks. I'd have to alter it a bit as my setup is slightly different than yours.
I would possibly replace a couple of the magnets with a couple of pins so the dust boot cannot be bumped during cutting and push it sideways off the magnets. They do not have much strength that way.

One more request for the VCarve file and toolpaths for your design. I am just now figuring out how to modify the top piece of my Kent dust shoe (Dremel?) to fit past the laser pointer but ultimately think that I would also prefer to have the vacuum port to the side as opposed to being in front of the spindle. BTW can you advise specifically what magnets you used? Thanking you in advance for this.
I would love to have the files to make this boot too! I need something!! Do you think this would work OK with a 2 1/2" hose shop vac? I have the Stinger 1 with the 1.7 KW spindle.
