  • Gantry not holding Y axis

New problem: while initializing, gantry stutters when performing Y axis. I have to stop it by hitting escape, then I pushy gantry backwards by hand to free it up, then initialize again. It will hold for awhile and then after awhile it will go askew and not follow designed toolpath. Definitely seems mechanic and not electrical or computerized issue. HELP!

Sounds like one of the Y motors is not working.

What machine do you have? Is it a new Machine, how old?
