HSD spindle vibration

Has anyone had any issues with an HSD spindle with excessive vibration?

I purchased a new panther 408 machine with a 5 hp HSD spindle it has serious vibration. It actually sounds scary.

What we do not know cannot help us ,, 1) Brand new machine, 2) are you new to cnc. 3) what spindle do you have, 4 If you have not seated the collet correctly it will shake and vibrate and scare the piss out of anyone. A brand new spindle does not vibrate,

Take a photo of the z head and make a video with your phonen you can attach it when you respond just below your post..

send me the info needed and described in the faq section for Owners status and i will grant this.

Have you tried running the spindle with no tool, collet or collet nut? If so, does it still vibrate? Generally spindle bearing are either bad straight out of the box, or they last a long, long time.

Thank you. The vibration is more apparent with larger end mill bits .. not as noticeable with a small vicar bit but still vibrates.

I will check the vibration with no bit.

Again what.type Router or spindle. Is.collet.seated and do not use reducers. I have.watched every.post.on this forum since.the very.first.one. never had a spindle.vibrate when brand new. Yet I have seen thise who did not.set.a.collet in with a "CLICK"
