Finally bit the bullet and picked up a sub. Here's some Q&A's I wanted to ask Mozaik (but forgot I could ask here)

Okay! First up. The CNC side of this (currently) is $150/month. It's subscription based and new customers are put in a 3 month block "trial?". Purchasing - Right off the bat you get charged the 150 - normal. From there you get an email conf. and download link. From what I can tell the exe is unique to you. When you install the software you're given a user id which you need to email it to Mozaik along with the pdf for CC recurring payments. If you wish to cancel you need to give them a heads up in writing 30 days prior to the end of your subscription. See wall of text at the bottom*00 (order/authorization form*01). On the Auth. form you are given the choice to be billed monthly (for the remaining 2 payments) or in full (for the remaining 2 payments).

For videos--They only have a few listed videos. The others are unlisted. Don't know why. They DO send you a URL from their sites.google website but not sure if I'm allowed to share that so I wont. I will however share the playlist which is within youtube's ToS "License to Other Users" *02. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp7oet0Dm4Q&list=PLcAWNgVLU2fICKXUNziq-m1BQulAkXl9s&index=1

I was unable to find an actual manual for this software, but the videos above seem to go through each page. The software does include PDF's under the /help dir but I'm 100% sure I can't post those.

From the few interactions I've had of people who used the software they praise it. I haven't heard anything deal breaking about the company yet. I did post a few questions on their website's submit form and haven't heard back yet (about 5 working +1 days now). I should have emailed them instead. From what I remember the questions were similar to:
    • I have a 4x4 bed, how much waste in materials is a cabinet compared to a 4x8 roughly? If that's too vague a general 10x20 kitchen with base and cabinets.
Still haven't heard back on this (just now (20 seconds ago) got the license number so I'll edit this and update it. This was actually the most important question for me. Mostly because when you first pick out your CNC the VERY first question is "What do you see yourself doing with this in the next 5-10 years?". I still didn't see myself doing cabinets but here we are.
    • I asked another question about having multiple computers and only using one at a time.
This is hidden a few pages/scrolls down on one of the pages. It seems to be per seat/license/computer. From their TOS*03 it seems you can RDP to the installed computer however it has to be the license owner. You can't "share" the license.
They have what's called a CNC operators license which is for your CNC computer. From what I can tell it's basically like a limited version with basic edit features. It's an additional 40 or 50/month.
    • Not sure if I asked this one but for the 4x4 can you index it so you can use a 4x8 sheet?
I'll edit this one when I play around with the software. If I don't find out, I think I have 1-2 hours with one of their techs on setting up the software.
    • Is there a manual and where can I find it?
I think this is the videos they have set to unlisted see playlist above for those videos and the help pdf's in the /help dir when you install the software.

You are able to pick a drive where to install the software so you're not limited to installing on just C:/

If you opt to pay monthly you get new codes/serials emailed to you when the previous expires. If you opt to pay for a longer term upfront you get that length added. So prepay 12mo and you get a 12 month license.

    For emails if you're setup on a whitelist: compusoftgroup.onmicrosoft.com , mail.authorize.net , mail1.wpengine.com , mozaiksoftware.com , and cyncly.com are the domains you'll need to add.
authorize - receipt, wpengine - order received, mozaik - welcome email, cyncly - payment form, compusoft - license codes

I'll think of more stuff to add to this laterTM

I hit the 10000 char limit so edits/questions/answers will go here instead.

for the 4x4 can you index it so you can use a 4x8 sheet?

So far it doesn't look like you can. The only thing I found close to it was under the CNC Machine Properties - Locator Dowels for flip sheet operations.

Scrap/Precut sizes can be added prior to running your job (that was another question I had)
It's under the Optimize program it has a dropdown for the material, and shows the Remnants (scraps) to add/delete as well as a selection box on whether to use them or not.
There's also a quantity cell so you don't have to keep adding the same 48x48 sheet *looks towards the sky and whistles*

I have a 4x4 bed, how much waste in materials is a cabinet compared to a 4x8 roughly? If that's too vague a general 10x20 kitchen with base and cabinets.

So a basic 36" bathroom vanity made of all plywood on a 48x48, you use 2 full sheets of plywood (4 sheets of 48x48) and on a 4x8 you use 2 sheets as well but you have a much better "scrap" leftover. see images. (about 3/4 of the 2nd sheet has is cut free). This is also nothing BUT plywood.

A 144"x144" kitchen with nothing being longer than 36". Optimize set to best.
the 48x96 uses 26 sheets. The first 18 sheets are full and the last few sheets have decent sized scraps.
the 48x48 uses 59 (or 30 full) sheets. The first ~16 are full and then slowly opens up. I mean, it has scraps as well but you're still forced into getting an extra 4 sheets.

You could separate the toe kick from the cabinet box and slice a full sheet into 3 pieces.
If you could shrink the width enough to get 2 base sides out of a piece would help a bunch.
