All my materials suppliers are out. Anyone out there have a good source for this stuff that's not 4 to 6 to 23 weeks out on getting a load?

I actually ordered some 1/4" acrylic friday from one of my suppliers as they had just got a truck in but all of it was gone that afternoon when I called. I missed out on a good 100 shield order 2 weeks ago because of no supply.Wes

estreet looks stocked, at least doesn't say anything about delays on the website aside from a 3 week delay

Same here on supply being more or less exhausted. I work mainly with 3/8" polycarbonate....but once 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" acrylic were all gone the polycarbonate started going to. I barely got in an order for 15 sheets of 3/8" 3 weeks ago and even had to pull that from out of state. Then bought 20 sheets of 1/2" material just to acquire supply. My products will have to be adjusted for the thicker material...along with a price bump to cover added cost. We go through about 5 sheets of material a week.
This is the nature of the biz right now for this type of material unfortunately. I've worked with reps from my suppliers for 8 years now. Both of them have been in the plastic distro biz for 25 and 30 years and NEVER seen material go like this. They both have stories about people walking in flashing AMEX Gold cards and shouting "money is no object" wanting to spend $100k+ for acrylic/poly to use in the COVID protection measures. Between Piedmont and Polymershapes neither one are expecting my material back in stock before September....and both want fully paid PO's if you don't want to risk their truck load being sold out before arrival.
Fortunately, most of what we make is 'modular' so we are able to nest on sheet stock. That has allowed me to also source "scrap" and "offcuts" from my suppliers to tide us over until supplies come back up. If you make products out of smaller/smallish parts then its another thing to look at as an option...

How much are you looking for, and where are you located? I buy 20 or so sheets at a time, and clear seems to be the only one that's been a bit tricky to get. I had to make a drive to an undisclosed location more towards the middle of the country, where the outbreak was not severe, and hit a distributor who was not being wiped out like all of the east and west coast suppliers. Not optimal, but I had orders to fill.Panther PT-408 8" Gantry

Thanks for the offer Steve, but orders have dried up around here for the germshields. It was good while it lasted. I have a couple sheets in stock just in case I get a small order for them. Glad to hear you found some material and had a few orders.Wes
