  • i made an attempt to design a sign.

I then sent my design to a guru I know......

He basically told me my design would turn a freight train down a dirt road or something to that effect....

I took that as mine was a shitty design. And I respect that opinion.

So this fine single malt sipping gentleman from the north offered his assistance.

    Thank you sir.

My customer was very pleased with the rendering I sent and it was easily approved by the town.

Today when we installed the sign my customer could not have been happier.

Looks great. Planning to have a sip of single malt (or several) w/ that same gentleman in a couple weeks during the workshop ;)

            Looks Great...Congrats...
So, the lesson from this is to stay off the dirt roads, or you may get hit by a train ??

Very nice Nick but did that Gentleman tell you to hang it side ways?

That same Gentleman (and I use that term loosely) helped me with a sign or two I was working on.

You better check with Tony to see if there's enough white space or maybe it was that same Gentleman.

I have not figured out how to rotate pictures after they are uploaded.....

Yes Bruce red cedar 2x6 joined and glued with tite bond 3.

Michael I was hoping he would chime in and clarify the train analogy.....

                  Nick,
Wait till he's had a few sips before you ask him to explain...
                  It may make more sense..

Sign looks good Nick. Old Rodger the Dodger can always be counted on to help.

LOL I just noticed this post........ you guys crack me up .
I knew Nick would do an awesome job making the sign, but his design needed a little help. So, to keep it from being akin to a really homely woman with a nice complexion, I offered up a suggestion or two .......
Nice work Nick . That sign's up there pretty high .... did you need help with the erection? Or were you able to handle it all by yourself?

I watched my employee get it up and I held the ladder while he screwed it.
