This is not my design, but there's good $$$ in the simple signs, & unless it's something I'd be ashamed to put my name on, I gladly accept the work. But, there's a lesson here.
You may have noticed that I very rarely do a white sign. There are a couple of reasons ....
#1 ... white signs are like rectums .... almost everyone has one.
#2 ....Dimensional signs ( other than V-carved) have raised elements that cast shadows. This creates a legibility issue.
This customer wanted a white background with green lettering & logo.
Notice the cast shadows? Now imagine if the letters were dark green. The cast shadows would be dark grey, & from more than 30' away, this sign would be illegible.
For the record, the pocket is .27" deep.
This sign is in Sault Ste Marie ON, south facing . 46*30' North latitude, September 18th, 3pm . At lower latitudes, the shadows would be even wider at the same time of day.
