last winter I completed the millwork for a plastic surgeon's office in Long island. There was extensive high gloss, mdf panels throughout the hallways and reception area. The thoughts of having to install using the traditional Z clips was going to take forever, so I found star hangers products and have never looked back. The zero clip was what I used and cut the install time at least in half and made my reveals what I wanted. This is an innovative company with a great product. They were very helpful and have a great series of installation videos. These things really HOLD. In fact they can be removed but they have extreme holding strength. I was actually thinking of using them to install the cabinets but they would not guarantee that they would hold.....I think they woud but its a liability thing for the company. great product though. Z clips will still have a place in the install world but this is a great alternative. Ill try to find some pics and post.

Had a look through the website. Very innovative. I can see how it would save a lot of time installing large panel jobs, and very simple to remove if needed.

I love to see great ideas become successful! That's the american way!

              Hi Jim
heres the pics of the mdf panels we hung using the star zero hanger. Its just been a great product for this type of application. This way we can build and hang the panels as drawn without worrying about the 1/4" drop using a z clip. another shop in my area is using them for a modern house that had walnut flat panel throughout. thought you would like the fact that the compressor is included in the pic!!

                  Hi Jim
Wow it really is a small world. I checked out the installation forum on woodweb. Edi has a shop close by me and is an A1 cabinetmaker. He borrowed some of my inventory of star hangers to try them out. that's great that you were able to help him out. Now I noticed that you were applying what looked like prefinished maple panels to the sheetrock walls on your project. Did you attached the zero hangers directly to the sheetrock? Also on your upholstered bench, did you fabricate the upholstery?

Charles nice to meet you here. Is your request to "support our work" an unintentional pun?

I've switched to using Star Hanger's brackets for mounting signs. Nice product, & I really like how there's a groove in the centre of the channel, so your drill doesn't wander.
Plus ... Charles & Leeza are awesome folks to deal with .
