Thanks Johnny. I'll take a look at that. I'm running WinCNC 3.0.08.
I've been busy for the last couple of days and thus I've not been able to reply on the forum.
I recently got my machine configured so it now uses metric values. F60 and S6 are a feed values in IPM if I'm not mistaken - if so I should probably use 152 and 15.
These are the first lines of my wincnc.ini: (should a place the lim_buf right after maxstepv line? There is no lim_buf line in my wincnc.ini)
1. unit=MM
2. timertype=7200
3. steppulse=p5
4. maxstepv=100000
5. lim_buf=f152s15

Sorry I didn't see your question Dan,
Yes, WinCNC uses OptiScout for just the purpose you asked about. It uses a camera to find the registration marks and your cutting tools to cut them out. WinCNC can control routers (as you know), tangential knives, oscillating knives (oscillating saws), and lasers to do the cutting.
Good question!!

Johnny, I have a friend that is setting up to cut a plastic material with an image laminated on it. They have registration marks from the printing software on the top surface. Does wincnc have any module that has software recognition to sync up with registration marks for accurate cut-out?

No one would recognize me if I changed my name that much after all these years!!
I'm enjoying your participation Gary. You're keeping me straight on my answers. Don't let up.

Johnny,
Having a problem with my Stinger I. Computer died on me yesterday, screen went blank and computer went off. I was able to get it going again though. Now all comes up but the WINCNC controller will not initialize. I have had this once before. Left it for a day and tried it again and came back up and initialized. Is there some type of reset?
Thanks
Rick

Hi johnny, I've been cutting with no problems with your revised wincnc you helped me with. I do mostly 3d relief carvings but was wondering if I could have a 2nd wincnc just for 2d which would cut faster than the 50 in/min. that I now have for 3d. i would like to be able to switch/change back and forth according to what I'm cutting(3d or 2d) is this possible for you to do for me? or for me to change the feeds myself?

Don't know if it got through to you but I emailed you.
Thanks
