If you can node edit the vector, move the last...

If you can node edit the vector, move the last node out just a fraction..
That wil solve your issue without a major impact on the design.

As an alterative idea, consider using a down cut...

As an alterative idea, consider using a down cut bit for the really small part.
The chips will get pushed back into the cut area and hold then tight.

I have found that 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive also works well without expanding....Just spray both sides before putting together..
