I don't use 3/8 bits much, but I run 1/4 mortise compression bits 250ish ipm and 15,000 rpm. Any faster and my cut gets rough.

Just run some test cuts, if you have a bigger machine you might see...

I always turn the cnc and pc off at the end of the day. But I'm not out there with it full time either.

I have all of my software on a laptop and I just take gcode to the cnc pc anyway.
