+1 to Kens suggestion. Also, I believe there is a free orientation with tech support after you receive your machine. Definitely take them up on that if its still available.

Aren’t the lasers driven by DC voltage? Not sure plugging into an extension cord in the wall is the way to go here. I think that would toast the laser, no?

+1 on the UPS idea. Its saved me several times so far and cost around $100 for one that will handle the pc & machine electronics (not the spindle though). Money well spent IMHO.

Thanks, Doug. I have an Oneida 3hp cyclone. It mentioned in the directions that it should only be used for wood, so I "assumed" other materials, ie plastics, would be bad for the fan housing/motor...
