Default Z zero and touch pad

I have a difference of .013" between the touch top method using the aluminum bar and using the paper method. Does anyone know how to re calibrate the touch top routine?

I called tech support and they suggested that we wait until my appointment for the first time owners orientation on Wednesday. I guess that I can get by until then.

One thing you can do before the training is look at the WinCNC codes. Just to know they exist. One folder has macros. Look for for touch top.

Yea, make a list of little things that you want adjusted when you have your orientation....things like preferred park location, preferred tool change location if you have the FTC, etc. While you will eventually be able to easily make changes like this yourself, having the Camaster tech do it while you watch will be very instructive as a new user.

I needed to re-machine my touchpad which required adjusting two WinCNC macros with the new touchpad thickness.
This was 4-5 years ago so things may have changed. The two macros that I needed to adjust were:
c:\wincnc\macros\macro_measure_current_auto.mac
c:\wincnc\macros\macro_touchtop.mac

Call Camaster support, they will walk you through it.

Thanks Jim. I already have several things on the list but, I will add your suggestions to it.

Yea, try to think of things that will make your life easier relative to the machine defaults...we are all a little different and there is a huge amount of configurability in the WINCNC.INI file as well as the screen INI file.
