Default Need SR-44 Table Drawing file

Hi Folks
Long time since I've posted.
I've been sneaking onto the forum once in a while to make sure I remember where I came from, hope to be back on more often.

Does anyone here have a drawing of the SR-44 top with hole locations?

I recently install a "Hurricane" on my SR-44.
I removed the lower 50" of the original black 49"x 69.5~"x 1" MDF table and installed 1" HDPE plenum then added a 49" x 50" x 1" MDF Vacuum spoilboard.

The vacuum works great but I'm have one very frustration problem.

The plastic plenum is not strong enough to support the MDF and it deflects down and I cant get a even final cut.

My plan was to remove the plastic and weld a few steel angle between the existing spars

But I also thought about cutting a whole new MDF top with plenum and forget the plastic altogether.

Thanks for any help

Larry,

So good to know you are here. I often think about your creative spirit for new ideas.

How about some steel plate under the plastic? I suspect 1/4 inch would be enough.

Extira or exterior mdf works good if you decide to change the plenum. I used 1" and glued the spoil board down and it has held up very well with no sagging. A couple more braces still wouldn't hurt to make it more solid.

You can get the "original" file from Camaster...just ask. A forum member has also created a vacuum table file for the SR-44. Check that section of the forum...I can't remember the member's name at the moment, but did get the file awhile ago when I was sorta thinking about vacuum.
