Default arc radial dimension

I have times when I would like to be able to dimension the radial length of a arc but there is no way to do that with the dimension tools. If you use the arc measure you get the radius or diameter. If you use the length tool it measures the length between the two end points of what would be the cord of an arc. When using the measure tool at the edit objects pallet you get the arc length (5.6205) or perimeter (5.621). Is there a way to edit the text of a measurement? That way I could type the arc length or perimeter as indicated in the measurement tool in it's place. It's hell being anal!

Brian,
I barely understand this topic but exploring the Dimension tool, seems like the "custom" text check box might allow you to enter the number you want to display. Does that work?

Nice feature. Iím glad you pointed it out. I had never looked at it. There are always things to learn with these nice tools.
