Are you talking about the PCV cap holder for drilling? You also may have seen the quick pen holder I made with some brass tubing I had in the shop.

Default Multiple Cuts

Take a look at this. Two files.

The first file starts the spindle and reminds this 70+ brain to get the setup correct.

The second file just does the cut and then moves the still running spindle far, far away to allow removal/loading of material. Watch where your hands/fingers are, spindles will remove whatever is presented to them. You can recall the second file using the TAB key and ENTER to rerun as many times as you like.

The whole point of this idea is to prevent a momentary stop/start of the spindle each time the file is run and to speed up production.

Seems odd that VCarvePro does not have any GOTO Line Number or Looping ability.

Not really odd at all. CAM programs like VCPro output to hundreds of machine models using about 80 different controllers. Many of them are closed systems, some don't even use Gcode standards. Adding additional code for seldom used features that would be compatible with even a small percentage of machines would be a daunting, if not impossible task.

That said, you have the ability to modify your post processor and add any applicable lines that you wish, assuming your syntax is compatible with WinCNC.

Out of curiosity, does Wincnc G-code support g-code programming constructs like if, While, do, goto and comparison operators like EQ GT LT NE etc.

Is there a definitive programming guide specific to Wincnc available other than the on line look-up of g-Codes?

Just wondering - I haven't found anything casually googling the subject.

Short Answer, No. There are some "If xxxx then skip... and some if xxxx then run xxxxx commands and a few ways to test for conditions.

Yes, the WinCNC Manual. Its in PDF form in the WinCNC folder of each install. There may be a hyper link from a WinCNC logo on the CAMaster screenset on some models.

Thanks Gary, I'll take a closer look at the Wincnc manual.
