Default Use Aspire to Zero A

After a thousands of rotations on a spiral cut, I need to index A to zero rather than wait for A to "unspin" to do some non-rotational cuts. Any quick trick to creating a dummy toolpath in vectric to prevent this?

Thanks

Greg, just so you know, Gary Campbell has a most excellent One-on-One tutorial on Rotary Lathe basics done via the phone & a presentation. I can highly recommend the course if you are just getting into the lathe aspect. He covers such gems as the one asked in your post...and so much more.

That's the perfect command! I always used G92A0 (or whatever degrees I needed to change it to), but the L28.1 command automatically adjusts it to the proper degree of rotation between 0 and 360.

It's highly unlikely that if there is a feature needed to make your CNC life easier or better, that the boys at WinCNC haven't already put it into the software. You just have to sniff around a bit to find them!
