Thanks for the tip, T.R. I expect the sign to be about 2' x 3', depending on the final size of the block column. From what I've read so far I "think" I can get by with regular PanelClips as it won't be overly heavy.

The weight isn't so much the issue as is the size of your fasteners. You can't use a .25" lagbolt into an insert, because the head of the bolt is too thick..... you won't be able to slide the sign down past it.
So, whatever you use with a panel clip, the head can't be much more than .125" thick.
