Default Aspire 8.5. Vector unwrapper

Is there an issue with this gadget or am I doing something wrong? No matter what shape I draw, I get an Error stating either my vector is to big to fit. (I understand this one). After making the vector smaller, I get an Error stating: Failed to reorder contour to start at 6 o'clock.

These 2 Errors are the only thing I can get from this gadget. Any advise?

I found that it was often helpful to place a circle that was the same diameter as my material diameter at the centre of the material. I then made sure that my closed vector fit completely inside that circle and then the unwrapper gadget worked.

Sorry, I don't recall seeing that error in the past. Probably have, as I seem to bumble along and hit every error possible, just don't recall it. I found the "Rotary Modeling a Spindle" Vectric tutorial most helpful for wrapping/unwrapping issues. If you've not already viewed that one it might be worth your time.

Euan, I followed your instructions and the gadget worked fine. After playing with it a little more I discovered the key is having the vector centered left to right of the material, hence the 6 o'clock Error message. Thanks for the tip.
