Default Surfacing new spoilboard

Finally needed to replace the spoilboard. So I milled off the remnants of the old one, cleaned everything up and glued down another 4X8 sheet of ULDF. Then initialized machine, calibrated the switch, measured the tool, and tried to run my surfacing program, which I got from Mick Martin numerous years ago, and the spindle goes to the starting point, drops down to Z0, and cuts out on -Z boundary. Okay, I figure I screwed up, so went through the whole process again, calibrating, measuring, etc. Even rebooted computer, and restarted the machine. Same results, goes to starting point, drops down to Z0, and quits. What have I forgotten?

When I run the utility, I have to turn of limits in order to get my spoilboard bit to the table top for the first step because it's "short". Try doing that, get the bit on the material and then start the utility.
