When I left the T1 line, it would go to the FTC. With this many changes needed to make the PP for this machine to work, this is a recipe for disaster. Surely everyone doesnt modify every single file each time.

Have you tried using the Camaster Single Tool INCH post processor yet?
Make sure you bit is in the spindle and not in the routers when using this pp.
Im fairly certain this will fix any traveling to the FTC head.

Dont mess with the G code. The post proc will do the heavy lifting.

Yes, the Single tool PP did add the M3 to turn spindle on, so I believe it would work.

I called them, they will try to figure it out when I get the PC online. Between you guys and them we should be cutting something soon.

As stated here a number of times - do NOT use the tool change post processor if you are not using the FTC. Don't mess with editing the G-Code either.
Just save the toolpath file using the "CAMaster Single Tool INCH*.tap" post processor.

Im just trying to surface table top, because I think you are supposed to. So, could I just lower the bit I will use, a paper thickness off the table, and set that as Z zero? Thats how I would do it on a mill without a touch probe or indicator. Just figured that would speed things along if that was acceptable. There is what I would think is an aluminum touch plate, and some sort of white limit switch, not sure its purpose. So, since Im not sure what they even are, I will try a simple method first.
When I need to calibrate the switch to the spoilboard I use the aluminum plate.

First, measure the tool in the spindle.

Then, type g92 on the command line then g49 pressing enter after each command. This will clear all colored boxes on the DRO.

Then use the aluminum plate on the spoilboard and the touch top button on the screen.

When that is complete, type Z0 on the command line. That will move the tip of the bit to the top of the spoilboard.

Then, run the "Calibrate Switch" using the button on the screen.

There are many different procedures that one can use but this works for me.
