Hey Guys,
New to this forum. I appreciate any insight you can provide on this subject. Hello, I recently purchased a CAMaster PT-408ATC. Everything is working fairly well. I have all the bits setup, and have run trials. Vcarve is working fine. My problem is the Z axis. Its 2" too high. I've run through surfacing my spoilboard with Vcarve, zero Z and measuring the tools with my ATC and touchoff feature(for the blue square by Z axis). Record Z height, and input that park position into mozaik(machine setup). Generate G code from that data, and the spindle air cuts 2"~ high, which I set it up to cut .007 INTO the spoilboard. Interesting thing is if I take the tool out, the Z axis goes to -2.~ Which I find odd. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. The machine records the table Z height and the tool height in WIN CNC. Moziak uses that info and calculates the bit offset to get the thru cut.
Mozaik should be set to spoil board top, not material top. Mozaik will calculate all the tools to that z height-spoil board top.

In addition to that I was test cutting 1/4" material, and the bit was about 2"~ from the spoilboard. Just doesn't make sense. I've sent this to Mozaik help desk as well. Appreciate the response. Ben |

Is there a green box next to your Z value? If there is, you have a local Z that you can clear with g92.1z
