I struggled for years finding the "right": brush for painting dimensional signs....... everything I tried worked, but generally didn't last, or wasn't adept at getting into tight spaces. One day, just for the hell of it, I bought a tapered "sash & trim" brush. It lasted reasonably well, & did the job magnificently. See attached photo ....
FYI, for those of you who are thinking "why not just spray it?" ..... when you have small pockets, there's no way to get the air out of the pocket so the paint can get in there, so you're stuck with brushing. Well, IF you can find these, they're great, but so far, I've only seen them in Canada. There are a multitude of stores that carry them, including Lowes, but it seems only the Lowes stores in Canada. BTW, they come in .5", .75" & 1.0" sizes. You might want to see if your local paint store can import them for you They're made in China, but the Canadian importer is Bennett Canada, in Concord, Ontario "Bennett Perfection Sash & Trim". |

Seeing I somehow misplaced mine after the course, I found this one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...t_b_prod_image. I haven’t received it yet.

Is there a size that seems to work best for this work?

Steve, unless you make everything the same size, you'll need more than one brush. So, the short answer is "no". But I do mostly small stuff, so the .5" & .75" get the most love.
