Default GOTO Command for .tap file

WINCNC Rev 3, VCARVE Pro 9.518

Anybody know of a GOTO command for a .tap text file that WINCNC will recognize and run? I am cutting decorative tops on 500+ wood fence pickets and would like to be able to repeat the cut without having the spindle stop. My file is attached.

The file cuts the picket top, then sets Z0 and moves the spindle 18" left. The spindle stays ON. I can now swap the cut picket for a new one and repeat the cut, but this gives the spindle a momentary off/on as the file is run. I am looking for a GOTO to insert on Line 336 that takes me back to Line 27 eliminating the file startup info and the spindle off/on.

It appears RESTART (CTRL+R, enter 27,ENTER) is the best option so far.

Thanks.

I dont know much about repeating like this but can't you take the M5 out. Which is spindle off.

Look over the "L10 Array Cut" Your X and Y offsets will be zero 20 rows and 25 columns gives 500 file runs

If you have the pendant, press the repeat button

Just a curiosity.
Could you set your cut file up as a macro with a G4 between cuts?

Bunky, I figured out how to do this but my handwritten instructions to myself are not in front of me. If you send me a PM I'll remember to get them to you.

It involves typing in some command lines after your file and then copy/pasting the whole file over and over. I couldn't figure out a simple way to do this from the pdf tutorials that wouldn't turn the spindle off and/or move the spindle away from my workpiece.

G53 Z0
G0 X?Y? (type in your values for ? to send spindle to location out of the way)
G4

You will need to paste this after the last line of the cut file and before the Spindle off (M5) command. Try it with an air cut before doing it for real. Then you can copy/paste the entire file over and over and then add the Spindle off command at the very end of the file when you want to stop cutting.

Thanks for all the replies.
Finally settled on splitting the file into two files

File 1 - Sets up the workspace and Starts the Spindle
G5 T2 M"Ensure 18 inches clear space from left edge of spoilboard to left edge of workpiece"
G5 T2 M"Start Spindle"
M3

File 2 - Makes the cuts and moves out of the way
G90 [ABSOLUTE MODE]
G53 Z0 [LIFT Z TO TOP]
F100 XY [SET FEEDRATE FOR X AND Y]
F20 Z [SET FEEDRATE FOR Z]
G0 X1.724172 Y-2.140833
G0 Z0.210
G1 X1.724172 Y-2.140833 Z-0.125000
G3 X2.750000 Y-3.166662 I1.025828 J0.000000
G3 X3.775828 Y-2.140833 I0.000000 J1.025828
G3 X2.750000 Y-1.115005 I-1.025828 J0.000000
G3 X1.724172 Y-2.140833 I0.000000 J-1.025828
G1 X1.724172 Y-2.140833 Z-0.250000
G3 X2.750000 Y-3.166662 I1.025828 J0.000000
G3 X3.775828 Y-2.140833 I0.000000 J1.025828
G3 X2.750000 Y-1.115005 I-1.025828 J0.000000
G3 X1.724172 Y-2.140833 I0.000000 J-1.025828
G0 X1.724172 Y-2.140833 Z0.200000
G53 Z0
G0 X-18 Y0

The idea is to set up a jig to hold 6 pickets and modify the .crv to cut all 6 in one pass. File 2 is opened once from the file folder and thereafter from the History (TAB Key) and ENTER Key. Very short time to process.
