what a slab
Local woodcraft opened up for foot traffic today so I ambled on over to get some vac hose attachments I have been needing. Went and eyeballed the plank section and saw this beauty, about 4.5 x 2' and 2", haggled a 20% corona discount and ended up paying $130 for it - I am in awe of this thing, pic does not do it justice.

That's nice. Pretty color. I surfaced a beast of a slab of tigerwood earlier this year for a friend building a conference table. It was 2.5" thick X 40"+ wide and >7 feet long. The video is on my facebook page.

Here is the first thing I made from the slab, pretty large at 17x14". Took about 6 hours with rough, finish and lettering ,,, Used a 1/32 TBN.
A few flaws for eagle eyes to pick out, 2 are pretty obvious the other 2 not so much so.
