Default Twister Candle Holder

I made a set of candle holders awhile back when I had a Carvewright. The challenge was to make a set on my new machine. This one is a lot smaller and only has two twists. I started off with a 12" 4 by 4 Douglas Fir fence post and rounded the blank to 1.5" in diameter. The base is 3" in diameter and carved separately. It's assembled with a round mortise and tenon. A right twist for a matched set is next.

Nice work Steve, a few years ago I was playing around with a 4 start hollow barley twist using a 4x4 from Home Depot.
